Mi Jardín

I've never had a green thumb.

Exhibit A - I have killed a cactus - I underestimated how non thirsty that little sucker was and I drowned it.
Exhibit B - Our house plant in DC constantly went through phases of aneroxia and binging.
And a pending Exhibit C - While in Houston a few weeks ago D's grandmother asked me about her orchid and how to make it bloom again - a quick iPhone google search told me to trim it - she said if it died now at least she wouldn't be responsible.  I'm just waiting for word on the death of the orchid.

But now, since I live far out of reach of the Whole Foods herb section *sniff* I have to take matters into my own hands.

Welcome to my herb garden....

The line up....  sweet basil, thai basil, dill, oregano, thyme, and parsley.

Okay, so I just planted them yesterday and for all you know it could be pots of soil, but I hope to report this time next week that they are sprouting.

Luckily I have back up seeds in case disaster (aka me) strikes.

  1. Tú jardín es muy bonita! I love it. I can't wait to start something like that at our place. But I too have a reputation of being a plant killer. We harvested a whopping 4 cherry tomatoes from our plant last summer, and one inch-long carrot that was sorta orange, and about as thin as a piece of spaghetti.
